Honda Celebrates Accord’s 50th Anniversary with Special Logo

Honda is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Accord this month, a car model that has been sold worldwide since its debut in 1976.

The first-generation Accord was designed as a compact hatchback for global markets and was exported to countries like the United States.

Notably, in 1982, Honda became the first Japanese car manufacturer to begin production in America.

The Accord eventually evolved from a hatchback to a four-door sedan, and so far, Honda has sold over 25 million units in more than 160 countries and regions, making it one of the top-selling cars ever.

To mark the model's 50th birthday, Honda has unveiled a special anniversary logo and organised an exhibit at the Honda Museum in Motegi, Japan.

Additionally, the company is releasing 50th anniversary merchandise that includes the anniversary logo and designs inspired by the first-generation Accord, such as T-shirts, caps, mugs, and keychains.

Honda is also collaborating with COTOCUL, a Kyoto-based leather accessories brand, to offer leather goods made from recycled materials of Accord seat covers through the COTOCUL online store.
