Simpson Interventions Reveals New Name and Logo

Medical technology company, Simpson Interventions, has revealed it is changing its name to "Elumn8 Medical".
The firm has also shared the successful initial close of its Series C funding, which the American company states will assist in advancing the clinical development of its Acolyte Image-Guided Crossing and Re-Entry Catheter System.
The latter is currently under evaluation in a pre-market clinical trial aimed at treating coronary chronic total occlusions (CTOs).
During these procedures, the Acolyte System is said to offer real-time intravascular imaging.
Chronic total occlusions, or fully blocked coronary arteries, are considered one of the most enduring challenges in interventional cardiology.
"I am thrilled by our rebranding to Elumn8 Medical, as it better captures our mission to visualise complex coronary anatomy and enable more consistent, minimally invasive treatment of CTOs," says Dr. Simpson, founder and chief medical officer of Elumn8 Medical.
The new name of the company also alludes to the eighth medical device created by Dr. Simpson, whose earlier innovations in coronary and peripheral interventions are believed to have revolutionised interventional cardiology.
