Patriot Rail Unveils New Logo and Branding

Patriot Rail, a U.S. operator of short line and regional freight railroads, has unveiled a refreshed brand including a new logo design.

The concept of ‘forward motion’ is said to drive the new brand mark.

“The curve of the ‘P’ symbolises Patriot’s commitment to first mile/last mile connectivity for customers, while the steps resembling railroad ties represent steppingstones to the future, all unified through forward-leaning letters,” says the Jacksonville, Florida-headquartered company.

“We’re aligning our identity with our updated vision to redefine rail freight solutions – connecting communities and industries, delivering locally, and reaching nationally,” comments Brandy Christian, CEO of Patriot Rail.

Adding: “Rail has always been about moving forward – and so are we. We’re improving how we operate, how we serve, and how we show up for our customers and communities.”

The firm was originally founded in 2006 with the acquisition of the Tennessee Southern Railroad, a 149-mile railroad connecting Columbus, Tennessee, and Florence, Alabama.

By 2012, the company had 13 railroads in its portfolio and was taken over by SteelRiver Infrastructure Partners.

The following year, Patriot entered the railcar maintenance industry by forming Blue Ridge Railcar Repair.

In 2019, it was acquired by global investment manager, First Sentier Investments.
