Bugatti Unveils ‘20 Years of Veyron’ Logo

Bugatti has introduced a special logo design to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Veyron hypercar.

The ‘20 Years of Veyron’ logo includes the French tricolore and the signature of Pierre Veyron, the racing driver after whom the car is named.

Jean Bugatti, son of the founder Ettore Bugatti, brought Veyron on board in 1932 as a test driver and development engineer.

Veyron later participated in and won numerous races under the Bugatti name, with his most important victory occurring in 1939 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he co-drove a Bugatti Type 57S Tank with Jean-Pierre Wimille.

The Veyron hypercar, meanwhile, was the vision of Ferdinand Piëch, who sought to create the fastest supercar in the world.

Piëch – grandson of the Ferdinand Porsche – was the chairman of the Volkswagen Group when it purchased and revived the Bugatti brand in 1998.

With a maximum speed of 253 mph and an acceleration from 0-62 mph in just 2.46 seconds, the Veyron became the fastest production car in the world when it launched in 2005.

Ultimately, 450 units were manufactured from then until production concluded in 2015.
