Magnum Unveils New Signature Range with Packaging Design by Sunhouse

Magnum has introduced a luxurious new signature design for two of its latest creations: "Magnum La Pistache" and "Magnum La Pêche".

Developed in partnership with Bath-headquartered agency Sunhouse, the design is centred on a concept referred to as "The House of Magnum", where the world of ice cream is supposed to intertwine with the realm of haute couture

"By fearlessly tapping into the codes of high fashion, the designs spark desire for style and substance in equal measure," says Chris Griffiths, creative director at Sunhouse.

Adding: "Magnum’s distinctive equities have been reimagined to reinforce chocolate and luxury food credentials, layering rich and tactile details to give consumers more to discover, unbox and devour."

The platform is designed for scalability, transitioning from packaging to a grander brand universe; it was notably showcased at Cannes, where it was brought to life through an immersive experience also named "The House of Magnum".

"This is packaging that has to work everywhere: on shelf, in hand, on camera and in the split- second scroll. So we made choices that hold up at every size, in every context and under every kind of supermarket lighting,” comments Sally Knapton, partner at Sunhouse.

"The House of Magnum platform allows us to express our chocolate expertise and flair for indulgence in a bold new way," further states Tobias Sparnaaij, brand lead at Magnum.

"The design makes that craft visible, dialling up both the quality of the product and the high-fashion attitude of this signature range," he adds.
