Petcare Company Hartz Turns 100, Unveils Special Logo and Branding

Petcare brand Hartz has unveiled a special logo design to commemorate its 100-year anniversary.

In recognition of the milestone, the American firm says it also plans to conduct year-round activities focused on pet fostering and adoption via digital and social media channels, as well as live events at pet industry trade shows like Global Pet Expo and SUPERZOO.

"100 is the number to swing big, and, believe me, we’re just getting started," comments Hartz senior vice president of marketing, Dai Kageyama. "This milestone is only the beginning; we are excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to serve pets and their parents for the next century."

"From a masterbrand perspective, it was important for us to give back insights, resources, and a platform for cat and dog families to share their experiences. It’s a great privilege to see Hartz ascend into the centennial club, and we couldn’t have done it without our passionate community," further states Hartz president and CEO, Tina Le Lay.

Achieving 100 years is a milestone reached by fewer than 0.05% of U.S. companies.

Hartz was established in New York in 1926 by Max Stern, a German immigrant who began his pet business by selling singing canaries to major department stores such as R.H. Macy, Sears Roebuck, and F.W. Woolworth.
