Alex and Michael are friends and also formal business partners. Together they own and operate Arthography design studio, which is based in Saint Petersburg in Russia.

Interestingly, the agency’s identity also forms a collective of two separate elements: the first being a logotype of the business name that is set in all lower-case (with the word “art” underlined); and the second a capitalised letter “A” with the horizontal stroke connecting its two legs displaced by a bow tie glyph (the customised A is further individualised on aspects of the corporate stationery by means of a wax seal).

The business stationery additionally carries artful personalisations in the form of self portraits printed onto each designer’s respective business card.
