Ducati Reveals Celebratory Logo Ahead of 100th Anniversary

Italian motorcycle maker Ducati has unveiled a unique logo design to celebrate its upcoming 100th anniversary next year.

The company was founded on July 4th, 1926, in Borgo Panigale, Bologna, where its headquarters still are.

Each aspect of the anniversary logo is said to narrate Ducati's story, starting with the unchanged name, followed by the number 100, which is highlighted as the main feature of the design and is styled in the same font as the Ducati wordmark.

The latter is crossed by a curved line, identical to the one that runs through the shield of Ducati's official logo.

"It's the curve that connects the past to the present and then opens the future, towards a new panorama to be experienced in the saddle, alone, in the company of someone important, or together with other Ducatisti," said a spokesperson for the brand.

Below the date 1926–2026 is the Italian tricolour flag, honouring Ducati’s Italian heritage.

The slogan "A Century Made of Seconds" is also said to pay tribute to Ducati’s motorsport legacy – "a homage to the racetracks, to racing competition, to lap times, and to the small details that make the difference," according to the company.

Ducati was purchased by Audi, a part of the Volkswagen Group, back in 2012.
