GenAI Collective Unveils New Name and Logo Design

The GenAI Collective, which claims to be the world’s largest grassroots AI community, has formally rebranded as “The AI Collective”.

The non-profit organisation reportedly has 70,000+ members across 25+ global chapters as well as tie-ups with other tech brands including AWS, Meta, Anthropic, and Github.

With a mission to “rehumanise innovation”, it plans to launch 100 chapters across six continents by the end of 2025.

Each chapter organises events such as hackathons, demo nights, and mentorship circles, with various thinkers, policymakers, and investors invited to take part.

The organisation also has a research division known as the “AI Collective Institute” that runs alongside a specific program for connecting founders with investors called “Collective Investments”.

“The ground is shifting beneath us. AI’s exponential progress brings immense possibility, but also profound questions about our future, our work, and our very identity – and the institutions we rely on weren’t built for this velocity,” says Chappy Asel, co-founder and executive director of The AI Collective.

Adding: “Trust is the invisible thread holding society together, and right now, that thread is fraying under the strain of misaligned incentives and rapid, uncoordinated change. We believe that in an era of exponential transformation, our greatest strength lies in each other – in creating trusted, in-person spaces to make sense of this moment, ask the deeper questions, and collaboratively shape a future”.
