DUDE Design Creates Logo and Branding for Milano Film Fest 2025

DUDE Design has recently completed the branding for this year’s Milano Film Fest (MFF).

Encompassing logo design, visual identity, and event setups, the modular system aimed to embody the festival’s “inclusive, urban, and contemporary ethos”.

The design is said to have been inspired by both classic and contemporary cinema, and featured a monogrammed logo with stylised geometric beams representing light projection, along with a condensed sans-serif typeface that echoed the look of urban signage and film poster designs.

“This project was an opportunity to develop a broad, modular vision, one that adapts to the many faces of the festival and the vibrant urban landscape of Milan. This is a city that thrives on events, and being able to contribute to its cultural scene through design is, for me, a true point of pride,” says Alessio Salatino, design director at DUDE Design.

Held earlier this month, this year’s MFF showcased over 110 films – including multiple world premieres – across cinemas, cultural venues, and public squares throughout the city, culminating in an awards ceremony on Saturday, June 7, at Milan’s Piccolo Teatro.
