Audi Debuts New F1 Branding and Identity Design

Audi has revealed the "R26 Concept", a vehicle that not only presents the design for its 2026 Formula 1 racing car but also the branding and visual identity it will adopt in F1 in the future.
The graphic design is said to be based on the German brand's recently announced "Radical Simplicity" design philosophy, which was first demonstrated with a concept car called "Concept C" that debuted in Milan in early September.
Unveiled last night, the new R26 Concept previews the brand’s F1 visual identity, featuring minimalist graphics with geometric shapes that are designed to blend with the racing car's form.
The colour scheme includes titanium, carbon black, and a newly created Audi red, which is also used for the brand's famous "Four Rings" logomark.
"We are implementing a unifying design language that draws together every aspect of our organisation," says Audi chief creative officer Massimo Frascella.
Adding: "This makes the Formula 1 project a pioneer for the new brand identity, which will be rolled out in the future both for the F1 team and Audi as a whole."
F1 remains one of the most popular sports worldwide, with over 820 million fans.
In 2024, around 1.6 billion TV viewers reportedly watched the races, while the financial valuations of F1 teams are estimated to be in the billions.
The future Audi F1 team will make its full public debut at the official team launch in January 2026.
Shortly after, the first official test drives with the new-generation F1 cars will occur at the end of January in Barcelona, albeit behind closed doors.
During further tests in Bahrain in February, the Audi factory team will publicly test in F1 for the first time, leading up to the brand’s official F1 race debut in Melbourne on March 6-8, 2026.
