Fashion Branding for ‘Ana Maria’ Knitwear

Fashion Branding for ‘Ana Maria’ Knitwear

Located in the mountains in the north of Portugal, Ana Maria – Artesanato is a small, up and coming fashion label.

“Artesanato” is the Portuguese word for “craftsmanship” and serves as a reference as to how textile designer Ana Maria makes her garments using only traditional techniques and natural materials.

Amsterdam-based graphic designer Alvaro de Almeida was responsible for creating the minimalistic-looking logo and branding design for the Portuguese clothing business.

Set within a roundel, the logo integrates and unites Ana Maria’s initials into a single ‘A’ shape. This shape also alludes to mountains and knit fabric structure, according to the designer.
